Israel's Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman has been vocal about pushing the country’s ultra-Orthodox community into the workforce. He cut subsidies and proposed bill after bill to force men who spend most of their day studying into labor.
Currently, the ultra-Orthodox make up just 13 percent of Israel’s population. So why do they seemingly take up so much of Liberman's - and other politicians’ - attention?
